Make French Toast however you like.

Then while still hot, apply a generous layer of creamy peanut butter, add your fav syrup on top and dust with powered sugar.

Now tell me it ain't good.

O - M - G! French Toast is one of the biggest reasons for making homemade bread. Plain ol' standard homemade white bread. It is FAR denser than anything you can get in the store. One 3/4 inch thick slice made into French Toast will fill a tummy nicely. And the egg/milk stuff does not soak into the bread and make it mushy. A tiny bit of real vanilla flavoring goes into the French Toast goop, BTW.

Of course. There is no artificial syrup in my house, or artificial vanilla. Or margarine, for that matter. Life is too short to mess around with that crap.
