Troy nc. used to live nearby on lake tillery. troy was a very interesting town and when i lived in the area very small tight knit community. pottery is a big thing in the area and of course the Uwharrie National Forest. special forces from fayetteville used to hold maneuvers in the area. not at all uncommon to see them in full gear on the side of the road at night.
