Indeed, I've just checked.
I did spot 'Kaach' on a boaty type forum last year But I never notice anybody else yet (and I looked carefully through that doll site) |
I dig this! More info please! Is that factory made? That'd be fun to hit the trail in.

Dodge PowerWagon 4X4 Chassis mounted motorhome. Company called Travel Queen (!) would take a new PW and custom build the "living quarters". Sleeps six, full shower, and kitchen. 100 gal tank ($). I bought it from a friend for 4 grand, fixed it up, painted it and drove it to Grateful Dead shows. It would literally go anywhere. After a few years I listed it for sale in AutoTrader for 7 grand and the first day a guy called and came to check it out. He was an old movie stuntman that was Chuck Conners double in the TV show "Rifleman". He gave me cash and drove it to Honduras.....never heard from him again! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1318382850.jpg |
I drive by the Earthroamer factory twice a day. They make one out of Jeeps as well, since I see those parked out there pretty often.

How about rebuilding one of these?
paint it jet black swimming pool up top where the missile was http://www.strangecosmos.com/images/content/142371.jpg room for a pony. oh, and it was build for nuclear war, so i think it'll be durable and all that. |
We've had two German couples drop into the Tidal Power Centre this year with 'Continent Crossers'.
Both campers were based upon Mercedes chassis. The first was a cab-chassis 3 ton unit with a camper shell, the second was a commercial van (think 4 wd bread van) The owner of the second one had bought and outfitted it himself, including welding his own water and holding tanks, stainless steel roof rack and bike racks. When the second one pulled in, about a month after the first, I asked if there was some sort of club, as both had had their vehicles shipped to Argentina and had driven North until they got to Alaska. They toured Canada on their return leg and were planning on shipping their rigs back to Europe from Halifax. No connection, just individuals with similar dreams. Les |
My old Chinook Baja 4x4, had a ton of fun in Colorado with this!
