This single life is getting pathetic

Todays gourmet dinner.

Sent this picture to my brother who is also single. The laconic reply was "I canīt make out exactly what course that is from the picture, but I am sure I have had it once or twice."..

OH GOODY THEN!

Looks like a schnitzel with bernaise, green beans and tater tots that are pretending to be bay scallops.

All in all not so bad looking.

Not fish. Either that or Marcus needs some lessons in wine pairing.

LOL! Reminds me of the dinner shopping scene in the Movie "Bullitt"....Lt. Frank Bullitt rushing into the market, grabbing one of each of the TV dinners in the freezer, heading for the checkout stand....tried to find the segment on youtube but no luck...

Here? My bride of 36 years made her version of Chicken Marsella (sp?) Chicken breast, side of rice with sauce & mushrooms & artichoke hearts.

BUT...you single guys get to run around with hotties, right?

Wine pairing. Yes, I actually contemplated pouring it all together in a deep plate, like a red wine soup. I was fresh out of clean plates however..

That's what I was thinking, some sort of lightly breaded meat, green beans and very sad tater tots.

Mind you, that was not breaded meat. The surface of the meat looked more like the snot from a two year old..

Single women don't know how to cook, and older single women refuse to cook (maybe that's a blessing). I suggest ordering "take-out" food from a restaurant. What do you call "take-out" in Sweden?

Take a cooking class. Meet people and learn to cook better meals. Chicks dig guys who can whip up a gourmet meal with ease.

Had a buddy in my squadron in the USAF who was a gourmet cook. I was his sponsor when he arrived and as bachelors we were often invited to the family guys' homes for holiday dinners. So on Thanksgiving my buddy makes two pies, a pumpkin and an apple, and brings them along. The wife of our host sees the pies and asks where he got them. "I made them." Wife says no way and he recites the procedure and she was shocked. The pies were awesome. So was his Monday Night Football chili and anything else he made. And no, he was far from gay. The women, married and single, fell all over themselves when he was in the room and he had his pick of the single girls in that town. Needless to say I learned several of his recipes and use them today.
