Duplicate from my post over on tech:
RIP in deed Lisa, To distill it down...( Chuck spells it out well in his post on the Early S) It was breast cancer. A little over 4 weeks from diagnosis to her ultimate passing. So, those little pink ribbons now impact all of us a lot more than it already has. Brings it home now more than ever. Mention it to the wonderful women in your lives (I have), and let's see if this can help anyone we know. I think we could/should get this into a sticky and perhaps get our own donation flow/fund, volunteerism for her family (3 kids 15, 14, and 12 from my memory). Or for Breast Cancer in general. We've lost a great one here...I was blessed to meet her in person on several occasions, and she was truly "one of a kind", in a great way. Erichttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1319647912.jpg |
Damn. Positive thoughts sent to her family.
|
+ 1000 to all the sentiments expressed above. I am shocked too.
I always enjoyed her spirit and joy of life. I never missed her posts. RIP. |
Wow. The second time this week ive been reminded of how precious and fleeting life is.
Breaks my heart to think of her children. I will hug mine alittle harder tonight. RIP lisa. Your insightful posts will be missed by all here..... |
Really makes you realize how short life can be.
My God, four weeks from finding out you have a problem to coming to the end. Prayers sent to her family, the Porsche world has really lost a shining star... RIP |
RIP Lisa. Enjoyed your contributions to our community.

I've been going through some of Lisa's posts here...her input on this thread brought out her fantastic personality well, I think....she turned what was going to be another hot chiks with cars pics thread into something meaningful.
Damn, I'm going to miss her input! :( http://forums.pelicanparts.com/off-topic-discussions/301940-female-porsche-owners-drivers-show-your-pics-thread.html |
Still can't believe that I am reading this.

Always felt Lisa was someone I would want to be friends with even though I only knew her through her words....
|
Sorry to hear that. What a blow :(
|
Shocked & saddened! My sincere condolences go out to her family. She was one who's posts I always enjoyed.
|
Paul's thread above is the one where I first met Lisa. What a great spirit! Stolen without shame from that thread are the enclosed pictures of Lisa with her car (painted VW Jazz blue), and with her Dad who died in 2003.

Sucks. My condolences to family and friends.. The candle burns for her peace.
|
I was afraid to open this thread--and now I find that fear was justified. :(
Lisa will be missed. |
There is a link to Spyder Auto shop that lisa's family runs at the bottom of her posts.
I am glad to be able to send my thoughts and aloha directly to her mates and family there. My family just lost a loved one a few weeks ago to a sudden cancer onset. So this has tapped me back into this horrible feeling of loss and sadness, I hate it. Lisa left us with some wonderful moments to remember her by. Richard |
I was looking for her posts on my Australia thread and found this.
"Happy tears...my Daddy used to melt when this came on the air and he would sing it to me...then this was one of the first songs I heard on the radio when Charlotte was born (now nearly 14). Still has me reaching for the tissues ." <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/U9QH9bceSZ8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
New thread on the Early S board
A very sad day... |
Wow. this is horrible news. As many have said, she was a hell of a Lady. She will be greatly missed.
|
Incredible- just heard about her and just so sad. Condolences to the family and friends
|
At a loss for words.
|
It is very difficult to type when one is crying... :(
|
So sorry to hear. My condolences.
|
Very sad news.
She was all class. A great member of our Porsche community down here and a great mum. RIP. :( |
Breast Cancer...... My wife was diagnosed with it 7 years ago and they caught it early. Radical mastectomy of the right boob, and amazing reconstruction surgery at UCLA. Caught it so early that no chemo, no radiation. I feel so sorry for her family, a real loss and so young. What a peach.
|
Wow, that sucks. You sort of feel like you get to know people a little on this internet thing.
She was aces. Life is short, shorter than you think a lot of the time. |

So sorry to hear this and so sad to lose such a good close friend, though we've never met!
|
WOW, so sorry for the loss. I never met her but read many of her posts and I felt that her family was truly blessed to have such a great person in their lives.
I am at a loss for words for anything else to say except so very sorry for your loss. Dave |
Horrible news. Godspeed Lisa
|
I don't know what to say. I'm stunned.
Been away from pelican for a week (no internet) and just got home. This thread was right at the top as well it should. Hell of a way to catch up with the Pelican news. Enjoyed reading her posts. RIP Lisa |
Go take a look at this thread and remember the wonderful person we have lost. Thank God we had the pleasure of knowing her for as long as we did...

Wow, what a shocker. Such a terrible tragedy - a sad day indeed.
RIP Lisa.... |
Wow! I'm staggered. What a tenuous grip we have....
|
This is really one of those "kicks you in the gut" moments. Her posts and wit will be missed. Godspeed Lisa.
