Duplicate from my post over on tech:
RIP in deed Lisa, To distill it down...( Chuck spells it out well in his post on the Early S) It was breast cancer. A little over 4 weeks from diagnosis to her ultimate passing. So, those little pink ribbons now impact all of us a lot more than it already has. Brings it home now more than ever. Mention it to the wonderful women in your lives (I have), and let's see if this can help anyone we know. I think we could/should get this into a sticky and perhaps get our own donation flow/fund, volunteerism for her family (3 kids 15, 14, and 12 from my memory). Or for Breast Cancer in general. We've lost a great one here...I was blessed to meet her in person on several occasions, and she was truly "one of a kind", in a great way. Erichttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1319647912.jpg |
Damn. Positive thoughts sent to her family.

+ 1000 to all the sentiments expressed above. I am shocked too.
I always enjoyed her spirit and joy of life. I never missed her posts. RIP. |
Wow. The second time this week ive been reminded of how precious and fleeting life is.
Breaks my heart to think of her children. I will hug mine alittle harder tonight. RIP lisa. Your insightful posts will be missed by all here..... |
Really makes you realize how short life can be.
My God, four weeks from finding out you have a problem to coming to the end. Prayers sent to her family, the Porsche world has really lost a shining star... RIP |
RIP Lisa. Enjoyed your contributions to our community.

I've been going through some of Lisa's posts here...her input on this thread brought out her fantastic personality well, I think....she turned what was going to be another hot chiks with cars pics thread into something meaningful.
Damn, I'm going to miss her input! :( http://forums.pelicanparts.com/off-topic-discussions/301940-female-porsche-owners-drivers-show-your-pics-thread.html |

Always felt Lisa was someone I would want to be friends with even though I only knew her through her words....
|
Sorry to hear that. What a blow :(
|
Shocked & saddened! My sincere condolences go out to her family. She was one who's posts I always enjoyed.
|
Paul's thread above is the one where I first met Lisa. What a great spirit! Stolen without shame from that thread are the enclosed pictures of Lisa with her car (painted VW Jazz blue), and with her Dad who died in 2003.

Very sad news. R.I.P. Lisa.
|
Prayers sent for her soul and for her loved ones who are dealing with the loss.
Hopefully she's in a much better place. |
Condolences to her surviving family. Yes setup a sticky for donations. RIP Lisa.

Sucks. My condolences to family and friends.. The candle burns for her peace.
|
I was afraid to open this thread--and now I find that fear was justified. :(
Lisa will be missed. |
There is a link to Spyder Auto shop that lisa's family runs at the bottom of her posts.
I am glad to be able to send my thoughts and aloha directly to her mates and family there. My family just lost a loved one a few weeks ago to a sudden cancer onset. So this has tapped me back into this horrible feeling of loss and sadness, I hate it. Lisa left us with some wonderful moments to remember her by. Richard |
