iPhone Earbuds - better than OEM?

Anyone have a recommendation or experience with anything better than the stock earbuds that come with the iPhone?

Been very happy with the Bose ear buds....sound wise.

Not real good for sporty use. I think they now offer a attachment that hangs over the ear. haven't used them.

I have found my Blackberry earphones work best. The foam covers keep them from sliding around too much when I sweat at the gym, they sound great and the wire is a lot longer.

I picked up some JLabs J4 off Amazon and have been very happy.

I did that to them, and I can be riding in one of diesel international trucks and barely hear the buzz. I can be sitting listening to music and if I don't see someone walk up to me I can't hear them talking to me if I don't pull them out.

Never been a big Bose fan... however when killing time walked into a Bose store... wife tried on the IE2 earbuds and LOVED them... I ordered her some online for Christmas.

Just tested them with my MP3 player to make sure they work.

They sound fantastic.

And they have a clever "StayHear tips" that hold them in place.

I use a set of BB earbuds. Seems to work well while doing everything.

Do they make a wireless set of earbuds? I'd like to try them for working out, etc.

Phillips SHE 9500 - for the price (around $20) they are very nice - surprisingly nice bass.

Well, one of the guys I used to fly with had an idea: He took a Bic pen, and cut the last centimeter off of the ink tube. Then he took an earplug, one of the ones with flared "ears" at the end and used a pin to make a hole through the center. Then he flared out the Bic pen tube on the end so that it wasn't sharp, and he mounted this tube to the removed end of a Telex PEV-77 in-ear aviation headset.

On top of the tube, the ear plug went in BACKWARDS, so that the flared end was inside the ear. This headset worked magnificently! I've used $900 Bose aviation headsets and this cheap setup before, and this setup puts the Bose to shame! It is WAY quieter, and radio calls are far easier to hear. I used one of these for about 700 hours of flying.

The guy that came up with this, Bob...went to patent this, but it had already been done. The problem with Bob's idea was that the plastic Bic pen tubes were too long. I remember a few times using these and I had to kind of cram the earplugs in, and the tubes were touching my tympanic membranes [ear drums] which was uncomfortable. We tried to make them shorter, but then the ear plug would block some of the sound, and make it difficult to hear. While it worked, it was difficult to get right.

Today, I just use the company Telex 750 headsets and ear plugs. I can hear ATC with the volume up all the way, and with my left ear off, I can hear what my crew is talking about.

N!

I have the Sony Ericcson pendent stereo Bluetooth earbids. Compared to the Motorola and Jabra Bluetooth pieces I have these are miles ahead. Great stereo sound for music and great clarify when using my phone. They can be paired with two devices and have FM if needed. I use them on the tractor when mowing for sound insulation and I can listen to the ball game while mowing. I use one ear bud for normal calling, but in high ambient noise environments I use both when on the phone. The battery life is phenomenal.

I just clip it on my shirt and tuck the wires in and around my neck. No more "that guy who walks around with the Bluetooth in his ear all day."

Pretty much anything will be superior to the $20 stock iPhone buds. I have some Ultimate Ears that sound fantastic and have pretty good passive noise isolation. I bring them on most of my trips to use on the plane instead of the way bulkier active noise-cancelling headphones.

I got mine years ago and the product line has changed a lot since - at some point Logitech bought the company:

For $20, these can't be beat. As a plus, they fit great under a motorcycle helmet.

All though these are not ear buds, they sound fantastic.
