Is your spouse a smart***?

I don't know how long it's been there on my desk, just noticed it now. I do appreciate some good subtle humor though. What are some of the little things your's has done?

Yes. One of the traits I love the most about her. Her pickup line to me 22 years ago was "Don't you guys have jobs?"

Kept the pace up ever since.

KLM2500HD,

That is funny! If that is her sense of humor, I am sure her other qualities are just as fine!

Thanks for the uptick for a start of the weekend.

I'm the smartazz in the family. She's got a pretty good sense of humor, but I have to be careful to not push it to extremes.

My wife made my lunch for the next day and when I unwrapped the sandwich I noticed that there was a bite taken out of it... made me giggle.

Smartass as in funny or just a smart ass? I have a DIL that is definitely the latter. I try not to be in the same room.

And she couldn't be funny even if she wore a clown suit.

My father passed when I had just turned 19. Before he did he shared some wisdom with me.

One of the pearls he bestowed on me was " Son , it's better to be a smart-ass than a dumb-ass "

I try not to fall into the second category but do from time to time.

That's describes my house, too. I come from a long line of quick wits. I have to be mindful of what I say to my wife after spending time with my family.

Reminds me of a time a few years ago when I was cleaning up dinner, and I put some leftovers in a tupperware container for my wife to take to work the next day. We had had her "all-day" spaghetti for dinner, with chicken, meatballs and sausages. I put some noodles in sauce in, then carefully laid on top a sausage and two meatballs, arranged very carefully She got a huge laugh out of it at work the next day. One of her co-workers actually thought it was romantic!

Guess I'm the smart-ass in the family!

I was a dumbass before I became a smartass after which I reflected on my past behavior and became a wiseass then jokingly called my ex-wife a fatass which set me back to being a dumbass.
