BBC News - Nasa examines 'tractor beams' for sample gathering Nothing of great substance but an interesting concept all the same. Cheers JB

hmmm...not sure I understand how it would work. Photons have very little mass so how would they convey molecules back? i can see them bouncing off stuff and being absorbed and then taking the spectra info but to actually grab something and bring it back would require the photons to travel back. And if they did how would they carry much bigger molecules? Interesting.
