Those things show up on video cameras all the time. Only video cameras. No one has ever seen one except on video.

It's a moth/flying insect. Some researchers hooked up a standard video cam and a high speed camera and filmed the exact same item. The standard video cam appeared to film some unusual/unknown living organism. The high speed camera filmed the same item - which was a moth.

Mark has it, I saw the same program. It has something to do with the refresh rate of the camera and the speed the wings are flapping that makes it looks longer than they really are.
