This is true as long as you know what you are doing and okay that reputation. Watching my parents age (93 / 90) I have done some research and it seems that the last thing you learn as a child are "normalizing" social skills and they are the first thing you forget as dementia sets in. Plus, how many of us are blessed with good role models to show us how to gracefully grow old?

62 here. My motto is "don't matter where you get your appetite as long as you eat at home." Seems to have worked well for me for 40 years with the same woman.

60? That's the new 40. You should go out and get a pilots license, fly planes. You do understand that for the next 5 years you could be an airline pilot? There are accelerated programs that could have you in the cockpit of a regional jet in about one year. That progress depends upon you, but most people can make it if they have decent eye-hand coordination.

Want your wife to see you come home looking like the guys on that new TV show Pan AM? It costs about $30,000, but you'll make more than that in the first two years. Want to be an airline pilot?

=======

When I'm done flying in 14 years, I want to try doing something completely different! I want to be a fishing captain, taking people out to do fishing on my 42 foot sport fisherman with the big fly bridge. I know nothing at all about fishing for bill-fish, and despite the fact that I love big boats...I'm basically poor and can barely afford the 16 foot tub with a bum motor that I keep in the muddy ditch behind my house! I've got a LONG way to go before I can afford my dream.

But I've pointed my nose in the direction I want to go. When I want something, I invariably get it, generally through hard work.

N!

I take it back. I spent the day (tomorrow too!) at the UWM campus in Madison. God help me - I looked. A lot. Lotsa blonde hotties walking around.
It seems to me the average college co-ed is a bit chunkier than they were when I was in school. Maybe I only looked at the skinny ones when I was a kid.

You would be correct, the average Coed is a bit chunky these days...

It is not just your imagination. Some rather interesting statistics, particularly for those of us who were around in the 60's:

Americans Getting Taller, Bigger, Fatter, Says CDC

•Women aged 20-29 were nearly 29 pounds heavier on average in 2002 compared to 1960.

•Women aged 40-49 were about 25½ pounds heavier on average in 2002 compared to 1960.

•Women aged 60-74 were about 17½ pounds heavier on average in 2002 compared to 1960.
