CA/HI legal annulment advise for asshat brother....
So, numbnutz decides to go visit a gal in Hawaii, scope babes, drink some brews and brodie da waves.....anyways, he couldn't get laid in a whorehouse with a ounce of blow and a handful of Viagra, the ex GF called his sorry booty, he charged a ticket for her.....badda bing badda boom, she comes over.....
Next things ya knows, Elvis in a Lei and a grass skirt marries heem and herz..... Later back on Planet Earth somewhere near so cal/huntington Beeeyoth, reality sets in. Annulment needs...any advise? Nolo Press, some kind of form, both sides sign file with (WHICH COURT?) somewheres......no community property, no joint kids, it's been like 3 months, no co-habitation....they just sobered up...... WHAT, TRUE STORY....IT CAN HAPPEN!

Sorry, but somewhere this is gonna involve HI. So some kind of contact over there is gonna become a necessity. I believe divorces initiated in Mexico for Las Vegas weddings still needed filing in LV. Doesn't sound like the annulment would be contested whatsoever, so the basic forms acceptable in HI court should do.
BTW, it's been 30 years since I did a self divorce with no attorney, so I could be off on this. At the time 50 bucks would buy you forms and advice at the DIY divorce and bankruptcy store. |

My buddy got married in Hi. and is now getting divorced in CA.
But it has been over ten years and they are fighting over the house.

Yeah, I was thinking of ODDie when I wrote it. Lot's of the lines are from Fast Times at Ridgemont High.....
Anyways, the online HI hasn't any imfo on how to do this.....looks like phone calls or onsite help form Tevake.

Joe Bob, Gave a call down to the court info office to get the low down.
Sounds like the easiest way to go may be to do an uncontested divorce there in their home state. From what she told me that should be very doable if both parties agree on terms. She didn't have much for me on annulment, said to go down to the law library to get more info on that. Or hire a lawyer there to pursue that route. Once they have looked into the divorce there, if they still need more details from here just give me a shout. I hope this is some help. Cheers Richard |
