Auto Train FL to VA
Has anyone here ever taken it?
Is it safe for the car? I am considering it for the trip back to PA from FL later this week. Anything else I should worry about? Doing it for the experience. I can get mostly home and sleep instead of drive. |

I've had lots of friends take it to Daytona for the rod run. They all liked it ,but did say it takes a long time to get there due to all the stops. Cars were all loaded & unloaded with no problems or damage.

Stops for what? It's point to point. Or should be. Or used to be.

Autotrain
I relocated from Southern Georgia to Baltimore and used the autotrain to transport my 930. It was great. I would recommend getting an upgraded seat or cabin. I took the whole family in a cabin an they had a blast. I took it on another occasion and road coach. Coach was not conducive to sleeping comfortably.
The whole experience is a bit utilitarian, but worth doing at least once. The car faired well and it was certainly cheaper than a professional car transport service. |
