I have the Panasonic GF2 and several lens. I love it. one thing to note - Sony decided to set their own standard where the Olympus and Panasonic stayed together so their lens are interchangeable. I absolutely love the Panasonic 20mm prime lens at 1.7 aperture.

I currently use an Olympus E-P2 as my walkaround/travel camera, and agree with David about the Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 pancake which is on that body 80% of the time. I'm anxiously awaiting the NEX-7 now - the larger sensor will be a plus and my main annoyances with the EP-2 are its horribly slow responsiveness and marginal low-light/high-ISO noise performance.

No way this will replace my DSLR gear (Nikon) but for a lot of what I do, I'm just not going to lug around a D3 and big lens, nor is the iPhone quite up to snuff. I can't see going back to a P&S either. The mirrorless "EVIL" stuff is just the ticket and I have some nice M-mount lenses I can use on the E-P2 or NEX-7 with adapters as well.

You've gotta admit this is a cool looking, and impressive little camera...

but it sure can't replace the bazooka for racing or wildlife...

Happy Sony a290 guy here
If you want to manage your photo library, check out Adobe Photoshop Lightroom versus Photoshop. If you're interested in heavier pixel-level editing, then Photoshop Elements is far more affordable and approachable with a lot of the power of the full Photoshop. A new version (10) just came out I believe.

I switched to Lightroom when v.3 came out and virtually never need anything else, although I do use some 3rd-party (Nik Software) plug-ins from time to time.

I am selling my Nikon DSLR bodies and lenses for the Nikon 1 V1 system. I have shot with it at a demo in London and find it superb in image quality and handling.

(I have a battle-scarred little fella myself. I'm pretty sure he's loving his new life, too. I'm pretty much an easy touch.)
