A freaky car purchase story.

A really good , long time customer of mine, lets just call him Mike Burns, has been looking for an SUV for his daughter. In casual conversation with his neighbor, a lawyer ,it comes up the he is closing an estate deal, and there is a 2005 volvo xc90 t5, with only 34,000 miles, it has had some minor body work , and has a few small dents, and scratches, but is really nice and clean otherwise. I guess the deceased owner was an older gent, getting senile, and had a few fender benders.
Any how, Mike is back and forth with the two estate attorneys for about a month, and finally he is going to close the deal today. He was bringing the Volvo straight to me, as it has been sitting for almost a year now, and is an out of state vehicle, which will need inspected + we were going to go over it real good.
So , he goes to pick it up, and as he is signing all the paperwork , he notices the deceased owners name....... Mike Burns.

Freaky.

I owned a car that almost certainly was used to transport it's owners body to the upstate NY reservoir they found her in.

Unless they deny him claiming he's dead.

After all a warm walking talking body is no proof in the face of DMV bureaucracy.

Check the transmission over well. The T5 had a GM unit in it I think that has had some problems.
