HEY! i think my therapy is working!!!
tomorrow, i have to pick up my parents for the holiday. they are coming here for Thanksgiving. my wife was worried about her dirty car and asked me to clean it. it's raining, so i focused my energy to the interior. yesterday, i spent a few hours cleaning and conditioning leather, washing, dusting..etc. i spit shined that car!! the interior looked and smelled new. running out of daylight, i had to finish the job with a headlamp. i was proud, and wife was happy!! yay!!
today, my wife went to do run some errands. on the list was to pick up some hay for our chickens. i needed new bedding to cover a 3x3 foot hen "condo". when i got home from work, i see something that almost made me faint. she shoehorned an entire bale of hay into the forester!! it was not tight, and was bleeding hay all over! the car needed a MANGER! no,,it was a manger!! here are the problems with this scenario. 1. i needed 1/10th that volume of hay 2. she obliterated the interior of her freshly cleaned car 3. and (wait for it...wait....) our other car parked at the house is a PICKUP TRUCK!! sorry, i was much too sad to take a picture. i worked that shopvac like a slave.. damn. i didnt kick anything, anyone..i didnt yell. i just got to work. my therapist would call this progress.

you cleaned the car before the parents came in ??? you worried about what they would think about you if the car was dirty??? Is your wife TENSE when they're around??? Maybe? she was trying to make sure everything was perfect cause they were coming in and got anxiety and made poor decisions like asking you to clean the car in the !st place. Maybe? if you didn't worry about it she wouldn't either OR she's is controlling you to get her car clean, LOL In either case I wouldn't worry about it....

I am going to guess you haven't been married all that long?
In my case, I'd have gotten angry and my wife would have cleaned the car.
