Have a friend in Germany who is colorblind. He says he just goes when everyone else does and stops when they do.

Color blindness is/should no longer be a major issue. Red lights have an orange hue to them and green a blue hue specifically to aid the color blind.

Two Corvettes pull up to a stoplight....kinda like the opening to most jokes where "two wankers walk into a bar". Nothing good will happen.

In Germany, "everyone else" knows how to drive . Just pickin'...but how's reading that "network diagram" gonna work out? I keed, but it is something that "we" take for granted. I've also never encountered a horizontal stop light before that I can recall...

ps: I just noticed what I typed earlier...I know it ain't PC, but I reckon a "colored blind person" can't see anything at all

Horizontal lights on heavy gauge poles are installed where hurricanes are likely.

IIRC in Texas they have blinking greens. Took me a mile or two to figure out that they meant opposing traffic can pull out in front of you. Why not just have a stop sign for all the good they do.

I'm not for street racing around pedestrians but it does suck that these guys are probably going to get hit with charges for racing due to the video.

With that said, I heard a funny thing years ago from a friend who's color blind. It was his first motorcycle race and he was completing his first lap when he reached the finish line the flag man was furiously waving a flag. He thought it was red so he slowed down and had several bikes pass him. He quickly figured it must be a green flag so he got back on the gas!

Never have seen a blinking green, but there are blinking yellows and blinking reds. I agree with most here with the notion that Texas is a state notorious for having terrible drivers. I'm a native Texan and can't stand our drivers. My fellow co-workers put their foot down (as if they are trying to brake for me) and grab the OS handle when they ride with me. They are horrible drivers.

However, I grew up in Dallas, drive or get the fuch off the road is the mantra. One of my college roommates (a Tennessean) had to get off the road, and pass the keys when we got to Dallas. He couldn't take it anymore. I've never seen a Marine so white knuckled in my life.

Dallas has the most self absorbed, clueless, inconsiderate drivers I've seen so far. The majority of them are on a cell phone, have no idea how to read and react and are just plain rude. And they drive slow as schit. They would not last a mile on a NY road.

These idiots will actually slow down while approaching a green intersection in case it may turn red. I've had several actually come to a full stop. Well yeah you dumbass, if you stop for it it will eventually turn red.

Driving in Dallas, NY, LA, or DC is a slice of pie...

Those guys are just idiots...

Yeah, I agree, the driver's here in Houston suck. I've traveled the country at times for work, and driven all over the place including Boston that has a reputation for horrible drivers. I agree that drivers here suck. I think the problem is that the roads are all 8 lanes wide, the lanes are huge and all of the roads are very straight and flat. There is LOTS of space so you can zone out and drive like a dumbarse without getting in too much trouble.

I actually think based on my short stint in Boston that Boston drivers are great drivers. It's the roads in Boston that suck, and the fact that they successfully navigate the roads must say something about their driving ability.

I have seen the idiocy, I went back there from 06-09 and now occasionally visit. It gets worse, come to Austin where they stop on entrance ramps to the highway. It's horrible. A fly over is 25mph max, scared of heights type of ordeal. Then again, half of them came from a 3rd world country.

First thing I thought when I saw that was it looked like the Woodlands. Never watched it with the sound on.

If that is where I think it is, I used to drive the street they cross at the beginning every Friday afternoon on the way home. Dumped me onto some wicked twisty back roads.

Worst drivers are in the San Francisco/Bay Area, in case anyone is wondering about that.

I'm in Houston now and the drivers are not worst than Chicago drivers...but it hasn't rained this week.

I don't think those guys every got into 2nd gear..well the guy on the right did and spun when he popped the clutch.

Idaho. Every single mother effer there drives BELOW the speedlimit and towns are 25 mph. I've never had as much internal road rage as I had there in my life.

I never want to drive through that state again - and I've driven through at least 15 in the past 3 years.
