It is the closest confirmed planet yet to one like ours - an "Earth 2.0". However, the team does not yet know if Kepler 22-b is made mostly of rock, gas or liquid.

Then, uhhhh, how is it earth-like? Cause it's round and in space?

-On Planet Normy, the 747 will be the vehicle of choice. Since this planet is 2.4 times the size of the earth, a 747 probably a good idea.

Too bad we're only seeing what it was like 600 yrs. ago. Could be vastly different today, maybe even gone, host star could be a white dwarf or on its way to becoming a red giant by now.

5,878,625,373,183.608 miles (5.8 trillion) is how far light travels in one year. Now multiply that by 600. I don't even know what that number is!
