Adios Kurt Busch

Kurt Douche is fired by the Captain:
Kurt Busch reportedly being replaced by Penske Racing in wake of outbursts - NASCAR News | FOX Sports on MSN

Now if someone will oust little Brother Douche we won't have to hear from these little twerps any longer.

Kyle, is at least appreciative of his team, and what they do for him. I'll give Kyle another year, hopefully he'll put it together one of these days.

A lot of Kurt's actions weren't as "public" as Kyles. Kurt was making himself hell to work with to his teammates. Wouldn't take much with that situation for them to say audios.

Well, if you watch this you'll have even more of an opinion on "difficult."

Wow, I would bet there are several reporters that are glad they don't have to deal with him for awhile.

I watched some clips of his outbursts. He really seems to be just completely angry at everyone.

I feel the sponsorship money said they'd rather not have him.

They dropped Harvick because they didn't like his attitude either. If Penske weren't going to drop Kurt anyway, I'm sure Shell did a lot to help them in the decision.

Then there's Roger Penske who is larger than a lot of sponsors. Alas, Shell was on the side of the 22 car; that's a big company. I noticed under Kevin Harvick's rein as the Shell sponsored driver that he did a lot of commercials. I've seen one since with Douche and it bombed.

The ability to drive is important, after all it's a race series. But the ability to market and be marketed is part of the business. The Douche Brothers haven't come to terms with that.

Now Kyle is on probation until 12/31/2011 even though the season is over. I'd love to see him trip and fall. I think the Mars Candy Co. would too.

I'm really surprised that Kurt was fired before his little brother. Kurt was a lot angrier "behind the scenes". Kyle is angry on camera more often.

I'd like to see Villeneuve get that seat allthough I doubt that will ever happen. If only he had won the race in Montreal (or Road America) in the Penske.

Different sponsors, different owners. Kurt pissed his own team off - makes it easy to say bye bye. Kyle has the support of a lot of the guys on his team, and works hard to keep it, especially after he blows it.

Some of his sponsors weren't happy(z line for example), but M&M's and Kyle Busch really are on similar marketing styles. Not that M&M's doesn't have lines Kyle Busch can(and did cross at Texas), just he's in a situation with more room for bad behavior and survive.

I would like to see Sam Hornish get another chance at Sprint Cup.

Back to Kurt, one of the shows on Speed channel would play Kurt screaming to his crew on the radio. It happened pretty regularly if things didn't go Kurt's way.

Well, you seem to have your own line on this. I don't know these things for sure. I'm just a casual observer that knows all these Cup drivers can drive. So, I'm satisfied with the racing as it is.

Leave the drama out. Unless it's a Tony Stewart drive to the championship on the last lap. I didn't like TS too much because of his antics, but antics or not, he drove that car that day.

I've seen Kyle do stupendous things at the wheel. Not so much Kurt.

I hope he enjoys the drag strip. If he can get pissed off in 10 seconds, much less at 4, if he makes it that far, then he really is a loser.

Sam Hornish won a race in n'wide this last season, so that's a possibility, but he was never dazzling in Cup. Wrecked nearly every race. Talk now is David Ragan in the 22 since Roush can't afford 4 teams.

Agreed, the point is that the $$$$ calls the shots.
An owner will let a douche get away with murder if he brings in the sponsorship money.

If the sponsorship money goes away so does the driver.

Same thing goes in top fuel drag racing, unless the sponsor happens to also be the owner of the championship team.
More on that to come later, can't say any more until it's released to the press.

Sam Hornish showed alot of improvement in the Nationwide series. Penske said recently he regrets putting Sam Hornish straight to the Cup series. Looking back he thinks it would of been better to put him in Nationwide for a year or two.

David Ragan had 4 years and never really showed any great results. Jack Roush gave him plenty of time. I think David Reutimann would be better than Ragan.

Hornish was a star and a champ in Indy Car. I don't see why these guys aren't up front at least some of the time. That's why I say I know the Cup drivers can drive. It's a proven fact.

So back to Sam, if he doesn't produce soon, he should go the way of Franchitti and half a dozen other switch-overs.

Trust me, I see some of these guys hit my local kart track for the first, time I'm left very impressed. Only dud has been Carl Edwards, he's tried and tried on multiple occasions, but he's still about two seconds to slow. He is too smooth on turn in for the kart/track. You can tell him, but his instincts must be really strong.

Kurt has his own kart track, so he picks up really good. Sam Hornish is pretty decent to.

Kimi Raikenen came out and did some laps between his truck and nationwide race in Charlotte., he was decent, but even with left and right turns, a lot of the NASCAR drivers would of trounced him comparing first times on the track.

Pity a driver with the talent of Kurt, sours so many relationships that instead he should be building. Oh well, I don't have to worry about it, I'm not a NASCAR driver.
