So you think you'll end up cleaning up the body, painting it a smooth color, and swapping in a diesel? Because that is all the rage with those ramchargers!

Like Tim, I really wanted a Jeep. I used to work for a transmission shop when I was a kid, and we had a rusted out old cj that was our lot/plow truck, and man, that thing was fun, pushed snow well, and was easy to maneuver. I was on a tight time schedule, and nothing really came up. There was one that I looked at, but trans was out, and rear frame rails were not really even there anymore. Everything else was too far away, and too much money.I was trying no to spend too much, I just dropped the load on my 930. This ram was only 30 minutes away from me.
I have always had a soft spot for these as well, and I can see this getting a few weeks of attention over the next few years. I will probably make it roadworthy again, but not this year. It is actually in nice shape, except for the floor boards, and a big dent in the front fender. If I only had to plow one place, a tractor with a blade would be fine, but I have my business, and my home to plow, so I needed a vehicle, besides, it sucks using a tractor, I did that, for a couple of years, trying to get the thing started, then freezing your butt off out there at 6:30 am while the snow is pouring down on you. I am picking it up on Sat. morning, and will probably spend most of the weekend on it. We have been lucky, and have not had a good snow yet.
