Gotta say the Edelbrock Mustang has the AMG beaten in engine aesthetics. That's one purty motor.

Go price a used AMG. They depreciate faster than a Mustang pushed off of a cliff.:cool:

BTW, I have a 2012 crew cab F150 rental truck this week with the 5.0. Even though it's installed in a truck, this is a BAD ASS motor. It's easily the nicest sounding stock V8 that I've driven, and it makes this big truck move pretty damn well. I can see how the 5.0 Mustang is a little bit fun.

I hate that, I want to look @ the engine without all that crap on it...

Go price a w220 s600....I found one under 30k with the renntech ecu/tcu, intake manifold and transmission upgrade. For those counting, that's 650hp and 800lb/ft reliably with all the creature comforts of an s class.

Matt, I drove a base gt as well as the gt500....the base gt definitely had some get up and go and the noises it made were very nice.

Here is video of "how fast can a Mustang go?" It is a review from Sport Auto the German magazine. The car hits the speed limiter and doesn't fall apart.

Also has a little 991 information on braking. I know there are few Mustang fans on this forum, but these new Mustangs are not a joke. Honestly, at 44K these are good fun.

I mistyped earlier...meant to type edelbrock makes a nice little addition, not edition. That is their "e force" blower...an easy bolt on to the 4.6 cars. The lowest "stage 1" horsepower is 425. Well engineered, one would fit under my "Bullitt" strut brace. Of course, this would lead to "needing" bigger brakes, suspension tweeks, etc.

AND with some dealerships now accepting sticker money for a Boss 302...

Hell, I dunno. Just how much power do I need to get to the pool hall & back? ;)

I especially love the last three Mayhem options. #1 and #3 could be a color of paint and a stroke of a keybord to make them unique and the strut tower brace is more show than go for 99% of buyers. I just love the way they try to milk every last drop out of a customer.:rolleyes:
