False flag. I'm betting someone powerful (like the PM or former PM) authorized the hit to put the final nail in the coffin of Murdoch. It makes sense. Everyone would obviously suspect Murdoch or a sympathizer as the guilty party as a "payback" hit, so what better way to get away with it and simultaneously get revenge against an annoying media entity at the same time?
