Working today

My regular shift is four 10 hour days which includes Saturdays. So I'm working today. It's very slow which is nice, but it's making it very hard to maintain my motivation to do anything. I'm ready to go.

I'm sorry you have to work today. I've worked many holidays when I was in the military and then as a civilian, working in IT operations (WAN support), so I've been there...

Yeah, I support the network (all of it, LAN, WAN, Firewalls, VPN, Load Balancers, Voice, VoIP, ONS, etc... which is unusual these days) for a huge global financial institution. Fortunately, we have a mostly follow the sun support model here, so I'll be home by 9:30. At least I never have to be "on call" here. It's nice to always leave work at work.

We worked today as well. I got quite a bit done as it was a quiet day with a skeleton crew in the lab.

I had a gig this afternoon and will be recording tonight. Does that count as work?
