+1 on art. A close friend of mine scored big, I mean really big last year - definitely a once in a lifetime type of luck. The big money is with the major auction houses. You have to know what to look for though, and if you do something you know, you'll be closer to "being at the right place at the right time."

the best way to make a lot of money is what I call "The tabs short fund" - just find out what stocks tabs likes and short them
