Wood U take payments if I put $25,000 down?
|
Would you sell it to someone in Nigeria? If not how do you know he honestly doesn't just want to own a Mercedes Benz with provenance?
|
Wait. I'm confused about this providence stuff. Is this or is this not the Princess Di death car? Does it come with a clean title?
|
Post some pictures of the car. Or at least the provenance. Pictures get us revved-up around here.
|
If you decide to part it out, I get first dibs on the headlight wipers.

Burnin' Oil - Ignore...the Pelican smart asses are at it again!
Always loved the W126 Big V8 coupes...such butter sweet cars. Easy to work on, easy to drive, super reliable, hand built, handsome and parts are cheap! If I was not so far away (in Houston) I would take you up on the offer. A W126 with over 200K does not scare me. Good luck and I hope the car goes to a great \ loving home. Yasin |
no one has asked how much yet?

Ok, I'll ask. How much?

All I can say that it has whatever provenance you want it to have and that I am willing to let it go for an amount that factors in basic depreciation. It was $75,000.00 when new, so the asking price will be a percentage of that amount, recognizing that it lost value as soon as it was driven off the lot.
It looks very similar to the Swayze car in Roadhouse, in the sense it has two doors, four wheels and is blue. I will post pics but to do so is not an easy process and involves washing the car, finding my camera, taking the pictures, bringing the camera to my office, finding the camera-to-computer cable, etc. Not easy. And I am willing to finance the purchase with 50% down. In fact, if anyone puts 50% down, I will forgive the balance so it's really half-price. Cantdrv, I'll remove the lens wipers before I sell it and send them to you, for a nominal fee. I will consider a trade for a pristine early 2000 740iL. |
Dear sir, i am interested highly in your (insert brand name here) car. It is exactly what my cousin needs for his (graduation/new job/funeral - pick one). I can send payment post haste by wire transfer. Please send your account information to the Bank of Providence in Rhode Island. Another cousin works there in the provenance department. I will gladly pay $75,000 plus a finders fee of $20,000 and a generous tip for a grand total of $123,456.78. Please act quickly and do not tell Tab's mother about this.

I will consider a trade for a guitar, but it must not be defective, i.e. it must have at least 6 strings and must have frets. Provenance of the guitar must not include prior ownership by anyone with whacked-out toe nails.
|
mmmm, toe jam. nachos. big coupes.
|
Is it 1/43? Do the doors open?
|
I'd really like to get this group together in one room - preferably with a good supply of beer and/or other beverages.
I'm sure the B.S. would flow, and copious belly laughing would be heard. ...or, maybe I'm mistaken - and I've taken this thread out of context. |
Would you trade for an unregistered 944?
|
A car from when Mercedes' were the quality ride....
