Panamera crash claims two
Looks like some bad decision making is gonna cost this pair the ultimate price. I was stunned at the wreckage. I wanted a wider helicopter shot to speculate on the path that led him to the canal. The driver has been identified but the passenger (female) has not.
Bodies found in submerged Porsche Panamera | khou.com Houston IRVING, Texas — Rescue crews in Irving pulled two bodies from a canal late Wednesday afternoon. The bodies were inside a badly-mangled black Porsche Panamera in the water near the 5600 block of Riverside Drive. Investigators said the male driver, identified as 41-year-old Ronald Eddins, was likely going too fast before the fatal plunge. "We believe speed is going to be a contributing factor," said Irving police spokesman Stephen Burres. "As for how fast that is, I couldn't tell you." The Panamera is a high-end sports car. Porsche's Web site says it is capable of going 188 mph and costs upwards of $150,000. So far, only the driver of the car has been identified. Both victims were found wearing seatbelts. The car was completely submerged when it was discovered by maintenance workers who first saw a toppled stop sign and damaged guard rail. A dive crew was able to hook up the car to a crane and pulled it out of the water at dusk. Irving police are still investigating the circumstances that led to what appears to have been an accident. They didn't find any evidence of alcohol inside the car, but haven't yet ruled out that the driver may have been intoxicated. updated for better coverage, they have found a third person now. http://www.star-telegram.com/2012/01/05/3636755/third-body-pulled-from-irving.html

Now, why were two college lovebirds in the back seat of a Big Time Lawyers sportscar speeding through Irving?

It's actually 3 people.
There was evidence of a third person in the car, they went back with a diver and found him.

If I may speculate, based on previous experiences as a young person, whenever you were out partying with people twenty years your senior, drugs were involved. He was a fat cat mesothilioma/asbestos lawyer and was pretty good at it as he was spending some big money. Ecstasy, coke, just liquor and weed, all of the above? They will all cause you to drive insanely fast and end ignominiously in a water filled canal. Or maybe the accelerator got stuck on the way home from the college volleyball game.
