Thinking about Buying this $1,095.99 DIAMOND HDMI Cable. What do you think?

AudioQuest - Diamond 3.3' High-Speed HDMI Cable - Dark Gray/Black - 65-083-02

Reveiws are very helpful.

The sad thing is I bet that a few of those reviews are actually from people that bought them. They need some AC cables as well:

Is that a joke site? $6 is the right price to pay for an HDMI cable.

I thought the whole point of a digital signal is that it diminished the need for a strong, clear signal.

Yes, but some cheaper cables are dyslexic and sometimes transpose one and zeros. These cables prevent the transposing of ones and zeros through the Dielectric-Bias System.

Let's not also discount the 5 year warranty!

Those cables would go nicely with this $1,300 ambient field conditioner:

I went to an audiophile show in NYC.... never again. Crazy stuff, like cables with a battery connection on the side, only one side of the battery connected to the shield, other terminal not connected, to polarize the cable.......

Ridiculous, but folks have been spending mind-boggling dinero on this stuff for years.

Most of them honestly believe they can tell the difference. Maybe. I'm not one of them.

Don't forget to use these speaker cables though:
Amazon.com: AudioQuest K2 terminated speaker cable - UST plugs 8' (2.44m) pair: Electronics
(sadly, at $8,450 these aren't even remotely close to the most expensive out there)

Then you can maximize everything with a set of "Acoustic Resonators" from this guy:
Franck Tchang.com: Acoustic Resonators
I think the "premium" ones (gold/platinum?) are only like $3k each, so you might as well get the full 10 or 12 recommended/needed for the full effect.

And for the absolute best set-up, you must add the following as well:

"Pure Smoky Quartz Insulators"
Pure smoky Quartz Insulator RIQ-5010/Pure Quartz Insulator RIQ-5010W

"Negative Ion Generator"
Negative ion generetar (RIO-5 II)

"Ultra Low-Frequency Pulse Generator"
Ultra Low-frequency Pulse Generator RR-77

"Pure Silk Absorbers"
Purity silk absorber(PSA-100)

"EMF Canceler"
EMF Canceller (REM-8)

Last but not least, don't forget to paint the edges of all of your CD's with a green felt marker to help absorb the "scattered rays" (or what not).

I don't know anything about this stuff, but anything called an Ambient Field Conditioner has to be the tits for almost any situation. I want one.

If you're going to mock the pure smoky quartz insulators, be advised - you mock at your own peril.
