Bad odor in a car

Here is the problem, I am storing a car for a former student who is serving in the Army in Afghanistan. Her mom brought her car to my hanger late August or early September after she had shipped out,and I parked it in the back corner. Several weeks ago I drive it to keep it serviceable so it will still run when she gets back late this year. It stunk so bad I could not even drive it. I find a container of food from Chilies under the drivers seat dated on the box is 8/30/11 Thank you. It still smells after a 3 lb container of Arm an Hammer carpet fresh sprinkled over the entire car and vacuumed 5 days later. The windows have been down the entire time. I stuck my head in it today and ti is still pretty funky still. Any helpful ideas out there. Via Face Book she is piss at her Mom.

Peppermint oil, after the charcoal treatment. Try Ozium, if it's still available...

Check under the back seat before you do anything........a buddy told me that a neibour pissed him off once, so all winter long he'd pick dog poop up and place it under the offending neibours rear seat......

Yea It works as long as the decomposing matter is removed and a general cleaning is performed.

I used it in a used car that had a skunk smell and many others.

Probably the most effective way of dealing with it.

My Jag was owned by a smoker. But there is something else about it. It's going away but after a sit in the hot sun, it does stink a bit. I have half a box of dryer sheets in that car and a whole box of baking soda spread out under the seats.

No cabin filter. I need to somehow get something in the ducts w/o hurting the sensors.

I'll have to find some of this ozium.

Milt, looks like Walgreens carries it. You can also order it from Amazon.
