RIP Etta

Singing legend Etta James dies at 73 - CNN.com

Been playing a lot of Etta, Ella, old Aretha, Billy etc... for my 11 year old daughter lately.

Want her to understand the difference between a real singer and a manufactured pop star.

Her favorite band for the last few years has been The Beatles.

WOW! Big talent is right!

A bunch of her vinyl was located to be the Christmas present for a young family member. Some amazing stuff, she will be missed.

I'll have to check my record collection and spin some vinyl in her honor.

Actually her name was Jamesetta, but she reversed it for a stage name. RIP missy.

One of the Greats. RIP Etta, and Thanks for the Great Tunes, and the memories that have been made to them.

P.S. Beyonce, quit trying to cover these classics, there's nothing classic about you, and you don't have "it", that Etta had in spades. Stick to Autotune.
