I sent the URL to a friend and he pointed out that he:

couldn't find possum (Po) raccoon (Rc) or Norwegian rat (Nr). Perhaps it is for the best none of those are included, but I was gratified to see roadkill (Kl).

My response was:

those are in Southern Regional Periodic Table. As you may be aware a southern legislature (I usually blame Kentucky) once voted to set the value of pi equal to exactly 3.0 -- they said it would make calculations easier. Thus, the southern states must have their own periodic table, and I feel certain it will contain the species you listed below.

Things are different down here. I have eaten opossum, coon, beaver and rattlesnake. The only one not good was the 'possum. I haven't eaten rat but I did see them eaten overseas.

Is that true about the pi value?

Every calculator I have used can do pi to I don't even know how many decimals. It is more than 3.14159

Naw, thanks for the thought. I actually found one on a job once that was really tiny and I guess it fell off it's mom's back. I hated to let it die so I fed it Karo and milk with an eye dropper and it actually lived. I raised it till it got fairly large. Damn thing would follow me around the yard like a dog. Finally turned it loose. Was really quite fond of it, so no more opossum eating for me. Before it comes up, no, I don't have pics. Wish I did though.
