found my next hunting boot!! made in the USA Danners.
probably going to order them tomorrow. my current Danners lasted 11 years. and i am not convinced they are domestic made. great boots for sure..but my heart is set on buying american made boots.
i thought Danner took all of their manufacturing overseas. apparently they have two lines. crazy price difference between the two. ![]() ![]()

I love my Danner boots...beat the hell out of them quail & chucker hunting and they are holding up just fine. Unfortunately, I think the Frontier GTX8's are made in China?

I have a pair of those, they are great.
My duty boots, which I now where to ride my motorcycle are Danners made in the US as well. I do have a pair of insulated Irish Setters for elk hunting that I like as well. Bill |

If you know size and model and color etc, I can go to the outlet store and buy the boots for you then mail them down. Shipping will offset no sales tax but maybe get a better price? Call the store to see.

I use Meindl made for Cabelas. Made in Germany and come with Cabelas product lifetime warranty - you can return them at any time for any reason if you are not satisfied. These tend to be stiff soled - good for carrying a pack and rough / rocky terrain.

Great boots. Local company. Made in the US. What is there not to like?

It seems like all boots these days are made with those wonderful, high-tech, quilted FABRIC inner lining. And so, I figure that regardless of the excellent upper and outsole construction and materials, those boots will be toast in a season or two.
At the ripe age of 54 years, I have come to understand the importance of buying quality. Plus.....I sold shoes for a half-dozen years, a long time ago, and I also understand the importance of good, sturdy footware. And so.....today, I am willing to shell out whatever the reasonable cost for good boots. Check out my rant from some months ago here. I became intrigued by the Limmer line of boots. Trust me.....one $600 pair of boots will serve you better than six pair of $200 boots. Boot Rant
