Bought the wife a new car
After driving her 1991 Mercedes 420SEL for 12 years it was time to make a change.
2002 SL500 Silver Arrow Addition, only 1,450 built. Last production year for this model. She likes this body style over the newer one.

It's a nice looking example. With w129s, the later the year model the better, generally speaking. That would be the last of them.

It looks like the upper left bar is pushed up a little. May just be the picture angle. Like I said Beautiful car.

R129 Chassis is a worthy successor to the R107 and a timeless beautiful car. The 300hp M119 is a great engine too.
I am VERY torn between a GenII 560SEC and a R129 500SL right now...what to do? I agree on your comment that the model after the R129 is less attractive especially with the peanut headlights. Enjoy the new car! Yasin

Nice. I like the later SLs with the twisty side skirts and side vents, they give it a bit more visual interest.
