2012 Dodge Ram 1500

Last week I rented a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 to help move my son's furniture / belongings etc. to his new apartment. On completion I drove to the gas station to fill up before returning. I got out the truck opened the filler flap only to locate the filler cap, no filler cap! I asked the guy at the kiosk, he came out, looked, he could find it either. I drove back over to the rental place, explained to the guy the problem, he couldn't find it, neither could 4 more of his colleagues.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

New trucks don't use caps. It is built into the door. My 2010 Ford has the same thing.

Did it have that "vagina thing" where you just push the gun in? You know a man invented that.

we rented a '11 Ram last week. I don't recall a cap either, just where you put the nozzle. on the '11 charger we have this week, there's a rubber "cap" that's attached to the inside of the fuel door, no actual cap that screws into the filler.
