New tracing law in Michigan

Went to Flo's Sports Bar on Saturday for pizza and football watching. I'm sure you've heard about the new law regarding 'tracing' at MI restaurants.

The gal at the door, wanted to seat me...because of the distancing.
Before she walked me back, she asked for my name. I answered 'Steve' and nothing else right away.
She started walking me back and I asked her.."Don't you want my full name and phone number?"

She answered back..."No...we're ok with just your first name"
Lol....How does that work??

And if you said your name is Bob, she would fine with that. Maybe they assume most customers pay with credit cards.

It is nothing more than a TSA feel good type of thing. They have to do something even if it is all for show, like the TSA.

The problem is, most of these actions that are supposed to make me feel better, end up taking away my rights in the process.

The reason that airlines were safe after 9/11 is that passengers understood that they had to take out terrorists by any means necessary, including crashing the plane.

The coronavirus will stop spreading when herd immunity is reached (which appears to be around 20% of the population being infected for this virus), and not a second before. Government can only delay the inevitable and cause much economic pain and excess death as a result.

hard to know (and judge) without knowing the parameters of the instructions of that law.

My teenagers sporting events are like that now, I do not have a problem giving them my information for those types of events.

I however do not like the automatic tracing feature app that Apple installed not long ago, while I know we are all tracked by our phones, the overt nature of that one annoys me.

The Michigan Supremes slapped her upside the head because of her fascist orders in the past. As a response, she whined about how the Republican SC made this a political issue and then switched from rationalizing her acts as responses to an emergency to her responses being due to a public health crisis.

Is this an actual law or an executive order?

In Illinois, the only law that has been passed regarding coronavirus is that restaurants are now allowed to sell mixed drinks in sealed containers for drive-through and carryout. That's it. Everything else is an executive order.
