Thanks, friends. I'm actually OK myself, more concerned with his family and that is who my thoughts are with now. Everyone had some time to let it soak in that he was not going to recover or get better for the last month or so, he was going to die 100%. He was suffering and I prayed for it to not drag on. Horrible disease.

He actually was first diagnosed a couple years ago and had surgery and treatment, seemed to recover most of the way. He was on a ladder 2+ stories up in October, working with his brother on a house. His brother is a basically the same profession as me.

The cancer came back in a viscous way 2 months ago and just destroyed him. He was in a wheelchair, went blind, etc... Talk about heart-breaking. That was way worse than him dying to me. I'm mostly concerned with his father, from what I've heard. Poor guy is in his late 70s and he's just absolutely devastated. This was his oldest son, his namesake. He's inconsolable. There is nothing on earth worse than losing a child, no matter what the ages are. Pray for him if anyone.

Denis,

I'm very sorry for your loss. I've lost a few good friends and it's not an easy thing at all...
