Good Morning...
Buttermilk biscuits and Bluegrass music for breakfast.
Anyone else here make homemade biscuits? I nailed them this time. Last effort was a fail. 3c self rising .5 crisco 1c buttermilk, add a little H2O as needed to achieve correct texture

Cindy used to make lots of sourdough goodies. After I was diagnosed with diabetes, it's all off my menu. Too many carbs.
She made some sourdough blueberry pancakes. I'd cover 'em with Vermont maple syrup. Damn! Now you made me cry...

Beth made homemade yogurt on Thursday night and we had homemade yogurt with honey and fruit and granola in it today. She makes really good biscuits, too!

We make "Rolled Biscuits" using the recipe from "Joy of Cooking". Make sure you use unsalted butter or you have to eliminate the salt in the recipe.
Of course I am off all carbs right now, and down about 25 lbs...The goal is a 75 lbs off...And basically being "gluten free" seems to be helping other issues.
