Trap or not...who cares. :)

Great to see them inside, Richard. You are a fortunate man.

Motion,

If your serious, my buddy who just sold his 2200 mile Bostrom is Selling his Rothmans NS400R. Bike is beautiful. He is selling almost everything to buy a 65 Shelby. Shoot me a PM and I can forward your info to him.

I would like to get a RG500 myself.

I've done the Ducati in the living room thing myself, havent done it yet since moving into the new house.

PM sent

I don't have a 916 indoors, but I did park the 900 SS in my office at work. I've floated the idea of a bike indoors at home (there's a perfect spot in the corner of the family room), but Mrs. Noah has flatly rejected that idea. Too many little kids--either ours or their friends who come over for playdates.

I'd close on more bikes. I'm sure it's a trap but then at least you'd have the bikes no?

How you manage to survive in such austere conditions is truly a miracle. :D

Thanks, Mike :) Just trying to talk myself into it. Wifey has a place reserved for it in the living room :)

As long as I'm healthy, I can deal with the harsh conditions :D

996R in the crate.... - Ducati.ms - The Ultimate Ducati Forum

There's an uncrated/unprepped 996R up for auction down in San Diego... Supposedly confiscated from some storage unit where the renter failed to pay his tab.

I rolled it right into storage without taking pics, but here's one cruddy photo:

Here's a large one (not mine, but identical)

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1331346807.jpg

Its a V-3 two stroke. Never imported into the US legally, but a few have found their way here. Extremely clean for a 28 year old bike. I'm a happy guy :)

MotoSook 03-09-2012 07:52 PM

Too cool! Congrats.

Flieger 03-09-2012 07:59 PM

V3? Interesting. I wonder what the crank looks like. Throw angle and counterweight geometry.

tocobill 03-09-2012 08:16 PM

And I thought I was the only guy rocking the sweet Italian living room furniture, haha.

A 1098... Love it, but I'd be out riding that baby...

MotoSook 03-09-2012 08:41 PM

OK guys back on topic (but keep on with the other stuff between answers :D):

What's a 2000 996 with 15K miles worth? Bike has been used on the track so has safety wire. I haven't seen the bike, but it's got a Sharkskin body kit and the stock body work is included. I'm just looking to have fun with this bike, so no worries about future value.

Only really bad for me is that it is yellow. LOL. How hard is it to get the same shade of red paint on the body panels? Can a good body shop match the red on my 900 SS well enough if I take a piece in?

It's got carbon Termis and ECU flash, slipper clutch, adjustable pegs and levers, carbon hear carbon there, with stock (revalved/tuned) suspension.

I'm I looking for trouble (potential maintenance issues) with this one if I can get it for $4300?
