Go figure. What are the odds of that happening?

87 yo pilot practicing........................................ ...

Polk County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Carrie Eleazer says 87-year-old pilot Shannon Trembley was doing takeoff and landing maneuvers Saturday in his Cessna at the South Lakeland Airport in Mulberry

................and was the skydiver landing in the grass runway?

With a slightly different thread title:

Most incredible non-photoshopped picture thread:

Yes, the 87 y.o. pilot description caught my eye. Not much to lose at the stage of the game, I guess. Might as well take up wrestling lions or something.

It is hindsight but poor choice of landing for the parachutist at an airstrip. The poor unfortunate 84 yo pilot may have to read the fine print in his insurance policy to see if his plane is covered for all perils or an exclusion clause. That will not buff out.G.

I'm thinking this is the key ingredient to this mishap. Reminds me of this old Far Side cartoon...

Wow. He almost made it. The odds of hitting a plane while skydiving have to be very low. I guess they go up a good bit when you try to land on an active taxiway, tho.
