A real garage (not barn) find.... 1929 Cadillac
Way back in April 1984, I was home on leave and my buddy in Trenton, MI found this car in an old lady's garage. We pulled it out and it was a beautiful 1929 Cadillac. I think the model was called the "Touring Sedan" and they only made 116 of them that year as the Depression hit and the Cadillac dropped off in sales.
My friend's buddy (a firefighter and car collector) bought the car, restored it and sold it but I don't have any of the details. I found the picture in an old photo album a few weeks ago and thought you guys might like to see a "real garage find"! I remember the car had red velvet curtains and a plush interior. No rust except surface rust on the running board where somebody put a bag of rock salt years earlier. What do you think? ![]()

I think you should have waited 30 seconds to take the picture.

Yeah, I took other pictures, but the car stopped there and sat for awhile while we figured out how to get it out of the narrow garage. That car was huge! This was in the days before digital pictures and this is the only picture I have of the car, the rest went to our friend who bought the car. I was in the Navy, so it was at least a year before I came home again and the car was gone by then (I think). My buddies were always buying, restoring and selling cars.
