How to Sell a 98 500SL 50K miles
A friend needs help selling his black on black 98 MBZ 500SL w/hardtop that's relatively clean with about 50k miles. I would was planning on just listing it on craigslist and perhaps some MBZ forums. Would it be worth it to list on ebay, autotrader or some other site?
Is this car interesting enough to warrant the extra advertising for sale? What's the best MBZ forum these days? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thx! ![]()

Assuming that it's here in the Los Angeles area, try CL first. It's free and I know people who've sold expensive used cars pretty quickly this way here if they are priced right.

Almost every time I sell a car it's through Craigslist. The cheaper the car, the better the reaction.

You'll do quite well on eBay with that. Low mileage examples do well with national (or even international) exposure. Especially So Cal cars.
There are so many SLs in So Cal that it's a buyer's market. Not so in other areas. So in addition to CL, I'd do eBay.
