Ok. Germ phones unite. Coffee maker next to toilet?

WTF? Isn't there a plume of "spray " every time someone flushes? We are in a brand we hotel room. New carpet smell and everything. I am not DIYing my coffee tomorrow. .

Just throw a towel over the coffeemaker and you're okay.

Seriously, I don't know if I'd be concerned about a "plume." Where'd you hear that? That sounds like an OCD hypochondriac thing.

What about the faucet handles?

What about the pillowcases?

What about your lips?

Germs... they're flying around everywhere... they're probably coming under the door from outside when somebody walks past with doggy poo on the bottom of their shoes.

We're all gonna die!

Seriously, I wouldn't worry about it, but if you're inclined to, why not rinse off the coffee pot and throw a towel over the whole thing?

The germ on your cell phone after you enter the hotel bathroom using it to take pics? Dave, how can you not know that?

Vash, I have eaten plenty of piss that way. You should be OK. Actually I never use that coffee pot. I never make my own coffee, so the lobby coffee is the best. No piss, just spit.

Ahh, you're right. Especially if you put the phone next to the coffee maker and it, too gets hit with the plume of spray.

Check between your legs to make sure they are still there...if so make your coffee, if not there is likely a $9 cup to be found nearby.

Pretty typical actually. What chain was it? I usually see this when I travel cheap with the family, but never in the nicer places I travel for work.

Us Filipinos already discovered that issue.

May I present happyslip- she doesn't even want the toothbrush next to the toilet.

She's hot as hell too.

I read there was a veritable mushroom cloud of germs & "meest" that explodes up into the air when your flush the toilet.

Usually the coffee is on the sink counter outside the shower and toilet room. I do believe that is a heath code violation to have any food service preparation in the same room as the toilet.

Yes, coffee making is food service. I have some pretty extensive past experience with the health dept when I build out restaurants.

that's a little far for the germ plume to travel. You find more nasty sht in the bedspread.

Actually, the mythbusters tested this on a few years ago with fresh growth medium placed around the house. The bad news; coloform bacteria were found everywhere. The good news; it was no worse in the bathroom than anywhere else.

Bathroom coffee has a special "nuttiness." I think Starbucks is bringing out a special blend. Some sort of French Roast.
