That's the key for me. If 85-90% of cops are "good guys" as they seem to be, why are they so ready to cover for the bad ones?
|
again: if they are trained to lie, how can they POSSIBLY be trustworthy? does that not strike anyone else as an oxymoron?
|
Most cops are good guys, and people as a rule don't like to rock the boat at work, so they don't want to rat out the bad ones.
The problem is you never know what kind of cop you are going to run into and are always prepared for the bad one. I find that if I get pulled by an older cop they are usually cool, it's that young one, that has a better than me attitude that sets me off. |

From the cops i normally deal with, I find the older guys tend to be pretty cool and better to deal with. The newer, younger generation of them, tend to be more of the power hungry A-holes. Last year we had one ( new guy on the force about 2 yrs) come into the firehouse one day. He asked about a pickup truck parked outside, wanted to know who it belonged to. the guy that owns it said its mine. The cop then proceeds to tell him he is giving him a ticket for window tint. Everyone was like "are you effin kidding me??" He starts going off on this tangent about illegal tint. Then the POS has the balls to ask to use the bathroom.
Needless to say I lost it. I told him he had 10 seconds to get the F out of my firehouse. I said I dont give a **** if you pee your pants. The he says something like we all better watch our asses driving in his town. He told the guy with the P/U he would be waiting for him when he pulled out. So i said is that a threat?? We all heard that." He didnt say nothing and then stomped out. I grabbed the phone and called the chief of police. The problem was quickly taken care of. |
