House passes bill allowing Keyston Pipe line

OK, the House passed the new bill that allows the pipe line, what will obama do about it, beg the Senate not to pass it again? obama doesn't want new jobs in the US, he wants the oil profits to go to Soros

House passes highway bill, Keystone OK included
Published April 18, 2012

Associated Press

The House has passed legislation aimed at keeping alive prospects for a long-term transportation plan that would provide highway and transit aid to states this year.

In the short term, the measure temporarily extends the power to spend money on transportation programs. That spending authority is set to expire on June 30, and the measure would extend that by three months.

But the real intent is to pave the way for negotiations with the Senate on a longer-term fix.

House Republican leaders have been unable to pass their own plan. The extension is a switch in tactics, and a signal that they're resigned to using a Senate bill as the basis for potential compromise.

The extension bill, which passed 293-127, also would allow the Keystone XL oil pipeline to proceed.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- The Obama administration tightened regulations on the oil and gas industry Wednesday, requiring drillers to capture emissions of certain air pollutants from new wells.

But in a nod to industry concerns that the rules were being enacted too quickly, the Environmental Protection Agency said companies can burn the pollutants at the well head until the start of 2015, when enough equipment is expected to be available to capture the pollution.

The administration said the regulations are part of President Obama's promise to develop the nation's oil and gas resources in a manner that protects the environment and the public health.
