great thread.

one of my favorites. "The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street" Applies just as well today as back in 1960.

Yup.

That was a good one as well.

So many that are unique. Excellent themes, acting, and writing.

They were all good! For some reason lots of people remember the episode, "To Serve Man." Too bad there isn't a modern equivalent of the same quality.

After watching Night Gallery, Twilight Zone generally appeared tame to me.....

OK, I also loved the airplane one! So many were done with great acting and realism. None of these special effects required!

Great thread!

I remember, to this day, watching the premiere episode on TV. It was, "Where is Everybody", starring Earl Holliman and I was hooked. Watched every episode when it was first aired, and I still watch the "Twilight Zone Marathons" that air. So many great stories, acting, and ironic twists.

A measure of its power is how many shows over the years make reference to these episodes. How many times have we seen a variation on the irony of the broken glasses in "Time Enough at Last" or the gremlin hacking away at the airplane engine? That's what makes a classic.
