Another reason why I am glad I have applied for my CCW.....
|
That must save money and the hassle of installing "No Swimming" signs.
|
That's it????????????
We have em all over the place, almost tripped over one at a local golf course. I had a pet one when I was a kid... |
Byron, I'm just trying to scare off the Californians...
|
We had Reggie in LA here that too a while to catch (if he ever actually was...).
|
I'm not a Cali boy, and the thought of gators don't make me too happy.....
Course the cartels down in the border towns bother me more.... |

As a kid I went fishing with alligators a few times at Myakka River State park in Florida. It kind of freaked me out, but I kept my distance and they never seemed interested in us. My brother kept casting his top water lure over a gator's snout, it never even twitched. That was stupid dumb. I even thought that as a ten year old. Oh yeah, our parents? I have no idea what they were doing. They weren't anywhere near us. I don't think I could be that cavalier. We had a lake in the back of our house, but we never saw any gators in it. Good thing to because we were frequently swimming and boating in it. |
so they SHED THEIR RACKS this time of season?
that aint no HEEL-LEE (gila) MONSTER? |
apparently it is either a Republican gator or likes to eat Republicans...
if confronted, you should clamp the mouth shut and then flip it over on its back, then rub the belly until it "goes to sleep" (becomes quiescent) you can then get up, walk away and git hugged by the Cajun Queen of Yore Choice Laissez les Bon Temp Roulez! |
I just keep waiting for some Yankee to post up pictures asking what the hell this is, and then us Texans telling them they are quite normal to have a few around the house.

Good Grief! I'm no Yankee, but I've never seen one of those even in Florida. What is it?

I don't mind the gator, but any place that has a park named after the Bush boys....no thanks.
|
They usually float with just the eyes and nostrils above the water line.
Lot of gators at Huntsville Park, canoe rentals and swimming too. |
|
pffft. those are called "yard dogs" around here...Here's a little 7-footer by our backyard fence:
