Rick, I think you did the right thing in this case. I've had the same women cut in front of me at the check out line at Vons two times over the last year. The first time I let her do it, (she mumbled something about being there first but forgot something, even though she had nothing on the conveyor, the second time I told her that she had done it before and she could wait her turn. She again mumbled something about me being an *********. I don't think she was deranged, but just inconsiderate and didn't give a fcuk about anyone else.

And you could be proudly smiling all the way home.

Believe me, had I been in one of the work trucks they WOULD have received the ol' air horn.

I found out today that another of my neighbors has d'bag tendencies. I was on the bike, headed for the gas station less than .5 miles away. I came to the stop sign at the end of the street, where I need to turn left. Car in front of me, of course, has no signal on (can only go left or right), is straddling both lanes and I notice the driver is leaned over like he's looking for something under the passenger seat. I was pretty sure it was a neighbor, so I didn't honk, just passed him on the left, made my turn and went to the gas station. 30 sec. later he pulled into the gas station and up to the air pump and vaccum station, leaves his door open and walks into the gas station. He didn't come back out the whole time I was there and others stared queuing up to use the air pump. He probably had to go get change, but why park in front of the pump so no one else can use it? I was there for at least five min. and left before he came back out.

BTW, I have Shaun on ignore, but saw someone quoted him. The fact that he thinks I did wrong is the best confirmation I absolutely did the right thing. Gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling to know he thinks I did wrong.SmileWavy

Ignore is for pussies. and you did do the wrong thing Richard. "if it will only take a second to confirm the postage, sure." simple as that. unless you need drama I suppose. I admit, I'm not much for drama queens.

The guy at the stop sign / vacuum is one of those people walking around who think that there is nothing going on in the world except for their life. Completely oblivious of everything around him. If someone had honked at him in either circumstance, instead of being offended, I bet he would wave and say, "oops...sorry...I wasn't thinking". Yes, we can see that.

heres another way to look at things. if ya look like a pushover................that means yer dressed too nice and "they" feel that they can get away with crap.

on the other side of the coin..............if yer dressed like a slob, hair going sideways, maybe an AXE in one hand or even a nice estwing 22oz framer...............nobody will try and cut in line.

funny how it works the same concealed and NOT CONCEALED CARRY!

i gurrantee YOU A WIDE BERTH FREE FROM ALL MORONS WHEN CARRYING OPENLY!

and i can attest to this one day watching this guy at home depot, with not (1) but (2) smith and wesson model 629 4" barrels in (2) shoulder rigs.

that guy freeking PARTED THE RED SEA with that rig on. it was one of those "did i really see that?" moments.
