Neat Car day in Texas

I was in Austin the past couple of days. We stopped and had breakfast at a place on the south side which is I the hippy end of town (Kerby Lane Cafe on Lamar for the locals). As we were ordering a Lamborghini Diablo GT pulled into the parking lot. Man it sounded GOOD! The guy and his wife got out to have breakfast and parked it right in the middle of all of the other cars. Fortunately, with those scissor doors, he didn't have to worry about having space to open the doors.

The one that I saw today looked exactly like this. Actually, I think this is it as I found this pic in a thread talking about it being in Austin.

Then on the way back to Houston just outside of town on I-10 I was passed by a McLaren MP4-12C that looked just like this.

Yes, both cars were very similar colors.

No. But that's OK, because that end of Austin is FULL of hot chicks. I think it helps that it's also a college town.

Looks dangerous. Did any of your cops panic and shoot at it?

That flat stretch of I10 just before entering Katy is a good place to stretch the legs. ON many occasions I have wound it up through there along with a parade of cars.

But Sid... as you know, some people are all over that europlate thing. Don't know about TX, though.

EDIT::::::::::::::::::: Nevermind... I just noticed that rear plate in the background.

Ok, maybe not the actual car, but that's exactly what it looked like, complete with the exhaust vent in the hood and intake vent over the roof.

not today it wasn't, there was lots of traffic. It was moving at the speed limit, but far to thick for any leg stretching.

I believe it's a replica; a real Diablo but added GT items including the engine from what I understand as the GT wasn't allowed into the US).

Its a common car at the Ferrari-club breakfasts in Austin

You know, I was pretty sure that it said "VT" on the back, so that seems likely.
