Where did you hunt?

How does wild turkey compare to frozen farm bird?

Wow, with a bow & arrow no less! You have my highest regard. Been a turkey hunter most of my life and scored only one tom with a 16 ga. ten years ago. Yea, send a picture of dinner!

i hunted a friends place in mariposa california. great spot. about a 2.5hour drive for me. with gas prices, i hoped to fill my 3 bird california limit this trip. but nope.

wild turkey versus a domestic bird as far as flavor? a wild bird, i admit..i think only the breast is edible. the dark meat is so tough and you know those pin bones in the drumsticks?? they are double in number on a wild bird. i use the carcass for stock..and i breast out the bird for eating. the breast is LEAN, but more flavorful. slice it thin, bread it, and make chicken fingers..DELICIOUS!!

i hope to grind some to make wild turkey potstickers..

Well done...I hope you never meet my son, two hunter planets colliding. The resulting damage could render non-hunting communications mute.

Hunting in a flat cap is a nice touch, btw.

After he's done at your office maybe he can drop by my house just a little bit up the road in Martinez. Wild Turkeys are becoming like pigeons around here.

Just curious, are there laws with regard to where you are allowed to bowhunt (or just kill a Turkey)? Obviously it's safer than discharging firearms, but I'm guessing they would discourage you from hunting in Moses' parking lot.
