Looks a little chilly. You need to stop by the Buena Vista for a 'coffee'..

Thank you for the pictures. That was great.

Someday I would like to live in the neighborhood just south of Golden Gate Park.
The beach, the food... man, that would be heaven...

Definitely one of the most amazing cities in the world. But, I'm sad to see the current state of affairs there. Its declining rapidly, IMHO.

Can't be San Francisco, I don't see any bums crapping on the sidewalk.

It can always bounce back.

NYC was an absolute pit for a while.

Every street smelled of urine.

Times Square was like sodom and gomorrah.

Prostitutes everywhere.

Drug dealers openly pushing their wares on the street in plain sight.

As a teen hanging out there it was fun and exciting but what a ****hole it was.

I lived at 19th and Cabrillo - a block north of the park in middle Richmond district. I worked at UCSF which is just south of the park (and a bit east, inner Sunset). Most days I rode my bicycle to work through the park. It is an awesome city, and I highly recommend that people to to live there for some period of time. And no, living down the peninsula doesn't count - you need to live *in* the city, and be part of the vibe of the place.

I'm back for a couple days. As for the supposed "decline" of San Francisco, I have no idea what any of you are talking about. Rents are sky-high, half the people in the world with advanced degrees and $$ want to live here and it's absolutely booming. I'm sitting in a Starbucks in SOMA right now waiting for a friend, this neighborhood is packed with Zynga/Adobe/other tech company employees enjoying the hell out of life.

Went out to dinner last night with some *old SF* people, multi-generational, friends for life, involved in local affairs type people. They were about as far from dysmal as you can get. Not a good place for the motivational or talent-challenged, though. A lot like NYC.

i think krakus is obsesed with naked men.

i love SF. the city has some quirks..but i love the "i dont give a eff" attitude from most of the folks here. sure, some of the card carrying members favor nudity and bike seats..but what the eff..who cares?

i dont miss the stick up everyone's ass like my home town of el paso.

San Fran? First time there we did not know any better and stayed at a hotel near Mission Ave, near the big govt. building. We walked everywhere. Was disappointed to see the police ticketing a guy for carrying a can of beer and then threw the can of beer on the ground. Went to an Irish pub and it was a smorg type and standing next to an SFO police in uniform I said hello to him and he said nothing. Is life really that bad?

The next time we went to Belmont in the Bay area. The taxi driver could not find our Holiday inn at 1650 El Camino Real coming from the airport. Eventually I said shut the meter off as he was lost. When we got to the hotel I paid what was on the meter and gave him no tip.

Had a nice bus ride to Muir Woods and Sausalito though.
Eventually got fed up with walking so much that I rented a car in Belmont - a Chevy Aveo. We had a nice drive to Half moon bay via a twisty turny road(great for P cars and motorcycles).
Stopped at a fabulous restaurant where there were exotic cars and motorcycles. San Fran is like any other large city - it has its good and bad areas. Definely like Belmont area - good restaurants within a 20 min. walk. Holiday inn staff at Belmont
were really good to us. Overall great holiday.

Denis, if it is clear weather, go up to the top of twin peaks, astounding views

SF is a great city, excellent place to live.

So horribly mismanaged it is ridiculous.
