Asylum - timelapse photography done right

http://vimeo.com/40005142

These guys did an excellent job on this. 35,000 stills in this video and it took them 7 months to make it. That's a lot of work!

I read an interview and the guy who made it said the hardest part was working without disturbing anything. There is one shot in this video that looks set-up to me but The rest looks like its been sitting there untouched by humans for a very long time. Really great video!

Video is great, but the music is just horrible.

Well, did you see 35,000 stills? If all were in that vid, I would think I'd still be watching and until sometime tonight at the pace they were shown. Some nice shadow movement in the sequence shots.

That was definitely some impressive photography. And some truly sucky music.

FWIW, if we assume 30 frames per second for this video (which is not necessarily a good assumption, but a standard NTSC TV signal is 29.97) then 35,000 stills would give us 19.4 minutes of video.

Keep in mind, this was shot in HDR which generally means at least 3 and sometimes more images are stacked to get one HDR image... (high dynamic range)

Fair enough. I'm no vid/photo expert by any stretch of the imagination!
